"Great collection of the early Colorado Springs fire department engines, equipment, people, tasks, and history. Very inspirational to us old retired volunteer firemen and medics. I can feel the pumper controls & gauges."
"As a firefighter, I love visiting other departments, museums and memorials while I’m traveling. Colorado Springs does not disappoint. From the IAFF Memorial to this amazing museum with history of a department that has been providing top notch services since the 1800s, everything you would want to know was packed into a small room. It’s great that this stop can be 15 minutes, or 1.5 hours depending on how involved you want to be. It is self guided. There is plenty of parking. Admission is FREE. The staff is super nice and informative. Whether you like old automobiles, horse drawn carriages, or equipment from times gone by, they have it all. You can donate, buy books about the department/events, or get a department shirt. I wish staff was available for purchases, I wanted to add to my shirt collection. This isn’t a complaint, but a call for volunteers! They need the help and it is an amazing cause. Stop by and visit!"
"Nice walk through of the history of the fire department. Very nice displays"
